Every day, on the Internet, the TV, the radio, I see human needs both near and far that need addressing. And for many, there are advocacy groups urging us to contribute or to lobby a congression representative or the President or someone else to devote part of the federal budget to dealing with that problem. How do we decide which concerns to address as individuals? Or which concerns to lobby for or send money to address? This website is devoted to one such concern - needless deaths from home fires. But there are so many others locally, nationally, internationally - hunger; poverty, racism, nationalistic thinking, war, the building of nuclear weapons, forest fires. How do we each respond, considering that many of us have family and job responsibilities as well? I do think we are here on earth with and for one another - no one lives separately from the whole. How do you deal with these questions, yourself? Your comments/ideas would be welcomed!
